Volunteer in Chiang Mai or from home!
We accept volunteers who specialize in human rights, women's health, teaching Chinese, English, and Spanish, fundraising, culinary arts, hospitality, EMDR, and art therapy.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Due to the high volume of volunteer applications received and limited places available we will consider the most skilled applications that meet our requirements and on a first-come-first-served basis. Applications that do not complete all necessary fields will not be considered. (When applying please specify if you wish to be a remote or on-site volunteer.)
Our On-site Volunteer Program
We offer on-site long and short-term volunteering for students and professionals who want to gain cultural experience and adventure in Northern Thailand while helping support our empowerment initiatives.
For these volunteers we offer:
Accommodation in a Karen village homestay
3 meals per day of locally-sourced traditional Thai and Karen food
Insurance
Transportation from Chiang Mai to our site

University credit for currently enrolled students

English Language Classes
Help facilitate the English language curriculum for vocational trainees
Culinary Culture Exchange
Teach how to create dishes from your home country
On-site volunteering is $200 USD per week per person This fee covers room and board, insurance, administrative costs and a donation to Daughters Rising.
